Convinced the case hides a deeper truth, Kaori and Mahiro travel to Sasazuka to trace Rikito’s past. A childhood memory resurfaces—was the abused child Kaori once knew not Sara, but Rikito? As they move closer to what was buried, both begin to confront their own pasts. Meanwhile, Mahiro learns that her mentor, Rinko Ohata, will take over the screenplay in her place.
