Mayumi, a sales assistant known for taking on excessive overtime, finds purpose in being relied on at work. During a company gathering, she clashes with Teiji, a director known for leaving at quitting time, and the two end up spending the night together. Afterward, Mayumi begins to see a different side of him. The next day, however, Teiji frames their situation with a remark about being adults, leaving their relationship undefined.
