Mai Fushigi is a capable woman who excels at work, but when it comes to romance, she remains stuck due to past trauma. After moving, she happens to find a silent café called Asagao and starts working there. She meets Ryo Kamishimo, a younger coworker who has an unusual sense of personal space.
